Project Scout II:The final quest…before the ongoing saga.

Sure, I remember the Christmas of 1987. Why do you ask? Well, I remember that year I got the Legend of Zelda. It was under the Christmas tree, all beautiful and gold! I unwrapped that bad boy and stared at it. It took us a few months to beat it. Yes, we called the hotline in Seattle to get hits. It was a long distance, and when it popped up on the phone bill, we got a butt chewing. Before too long, my buddies and I took it from start to finish.

Now, if you ever saw that last screen and went through the credits, you find a Second Quest. I feel like that is the stage where I am on. I have been all over the “map” with my 1972 SCOUT II. It has been torn down, rebuilt, and back torn down again. Now that the paint is finished, I want to post pictures of the progress we have made as we put the seats, dash, carpet, door panels, etc. This will be the push to get it ready to take for another trip to the mechanic to get the fuel injecter running right and I am going to stay with them to learn what they are doing.

I picked out some cool valve covers and air cleaner. They will be installed during the serpentine installation and redo. I am excited to see how they will look on the Small Block 350.

Update:

Yes, the Retro Holley air cleaner looks great! The problem is that it won’t fit on the sniper due to the drop and placement of the distributor. I decided to go with a 10” air cleaner with a flat bottom. This one fits!
