Mistake made. Let me explain. As you can see from the image above….My scout is missing a wiper. The post was broken off the right side, and I really don’t have any clue as to how this happened. It doesn’t even make any sense. Okay, the wiper is missing fine. But the post being broken?
So, I think this will be my first project besides getting things up the MTN and parked at his temporary home. It is called a wiper pivot – the pivot that rotates the wiper arms. The good news is that the guys at Anything Scout sell a wiper arm conversion kit.
The guys at IHONLY.com had the wiper pivots that I needed or at least the ones I think I need. They didn’t match the ones on my scout but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. This will be a project for a future date. They are out of the universal mounts custom-fabricated at Anything Scout right now.
Update: March ’25
In an effort to update the wipers, I decided to add the Anything Scout wiper motor. It has a new switch with variable timing.
Update: May ’25
The wipe conversion kit is finally back in stock. It has been a couple of years since anythingscout.com had their wiper conversion kit for sale. They have them for the Scout II and the 800. I would grab a pair while you can for $140 a pop it is a really good deal!!
Update:
I received the wiper conversion kit from Anything Scout the other day. I ran them down to my body guy, and he quipped. Did you get those from TEMU? Not sure if it is because they look cheap but they feel very sturdy.

As you can see from the picture on the left, the post for the drinker side wiper is a fair bit smaller than the post on the driver’s side. I will say that I was worried that it wouldn’t fit, but it is just really snug on both sides. The smaller wiper goes on the left and the larger on the right. You can see how tight the hole is from the (2) pictures on the right. We got them both started and then pulled the back off. They will be installed after the posts are cycled with the new SureFit wiper motor and switch with delay.

And just like that, she is fixed thanks to the guys at Anything Scout.
