I decided to hook up a GPS to my Speedometer. I bought the unit from AutoMeter. I am sure you can buy a cheaper version of the GPS unit on Amazon, and it works just as well as the $250+ one I purchased. But hey, one of my superpowers is overpaying, so I have that going for me. The guys installing my serpentine system are also wiring up my speedometer. I am excited to get it back to see how it performs. I am a little worried I will hit dead spots in the city, but we shall see.

Update: 10/12/2025
So I park under a crap ton of trees. That is more than an assload, and I am having some issues with the GPS module syncing up.

It is taking about 2-3 minutes to get a good connection. My first call was to Auto Meter to see what they had to say for themselves, and of course, it was my fault. Well, not exactly, but I needed to go to work. When we hooked up the unit, it was not grounded on the engine block. Since that was the case, I had my guy ground it to the block. I also moved the sensor to a direct line of sight to the skyline. I will report back to see how this works.

I think you can hook up the Holley to it as well, but that may be a little further down the road.
