I found a shop in town that can install the after-market kit. The guys at State Line Auto say they are up to the challenge and have a fabricator to fabricate the steel pieces to hold the compressor and move the alternator around. I am excited to get this piece taken care of because the other thing that was over my head was the electrical and that is a big job.

I will update you with pictures as we go, but there may just be a before and after if the guy doesn’t agree to take photos during the process. If not, you have the video above, and you can imagine it until your heart is content.
Update:
I dropped the scout off today so the team could start on the A/C installation. I have a general price of $1,200, BUT there may be some fabrication, which should be spelled like this. F$bric$ti$$n). She looks pretty good despite the tow truck.

Update:
I went out to get the scout and took a couple of quick pictures of the AC, which is installed and charged. The price on the AC was pretty dead on. Messing with all the other stuff was the killer on the budget. I think it will l

I had to get a new compressor that fit with the serpentine kit that was installed. It cost me a couple of hundred bucks, but it is a better fit for the AC system.

Update:(10/10/2025)
My A/C worked for about 10 days and then quit. Turned out that it was just the low side pressure hose that was not properly tightened. Adjusted it with a wrench and refilled. All better! ALWAYS CHECK CONNECTIONS and BOLTS!
